We can spend all day arguing about whether or not we believe in writer’s block or what exactly causes it. What we can all agree on is how grossly frustrating it is to feel uninspired, unable to write something worth sharing.

If you feel burnt out, unable to get back into the swing of writing, or simply need to challenge your brain into thinking about something new, try working through a few of our suggested writing prompts and exercises below. If you are really struggling to find motivation, sit down in a favorite writing spot of yours, set a timer (between five and ten minutes), and write!
